Scott King BS Tour T-shirt
1st Modern Studies artist contributor Scott King has interpreted his Tour series to be produced as T-shirts for our inaugural range.
Black Sabbath 1972: Navy and black print on white T-shirt.
Each T-shirt depicts a a tour from 1972, a time when touring was badly organised and chaotic. So the 'zig-zag' graphics across a map of the UK trace tour schedules of Black Sabbath and Roxy Music. The 'information graphics' style of the front becoming a replacement for a a band image that was perhaps much more 'rock n roll' or fantastical; these images just coldly depict the realities of touring - though the venues names on the back still hint at the 'romance of the road'. Who wouldn't want to be at the Top Rank in Birmingham on 5th November 1972 to see an early Roxy Music gig?
