Potere Operaio was a communist extraparliamentary political movement in Italy that was active from 1967 to 1973. The group was a part of the "workerist" movement that would transform into the "autonomist" movement, and its main sphere of operations was in factories, especially large factories in the industrial north. The group maintained a clandestine armed wing during the "years of Lead" , and it disbanded in 1973, with its members joining Autonomia Operai or  the Red Brigades.
